
Why the gear and pinion tooth of crusher wear?
Possible causes:
1. Excessively dirty oil.
2. Tooth wear profile too low.
3. Tooth wear profile too high.
4. Crusher overloaded.
5. Tooth wear profile on the ends of the teeth.
Corrections:
1. Replace oil and clean oil tank.
2. Worn step bearing plates.Raise eccentric assembly by shimming.
3. Lower eccentric assembly by removing shims beneath the lower step bearing plate.
4. Usually shows up as jumping adjustment ring.Reduce feed to crusher.
5. Worn inner or outer eccentric bushings.
