1. Core Purpose of Sand Washing
The main goal of sand washing is to improve sand quality by:

2. Working Principle of Wheel Sand Washers
Wheel sand washers use a rotating wheel bucket to lift and wash sand:
Raw sand enters the washing tank with water.
The rotating wheel bucket lifts sand from the tank, allowing dirty water and fine silt to flow back.
Sand is dewatered as it moves up the wheel and discharged at the top.
Impurities and sludge settle at the bottom and are discharged periodically

3. Working Principle of Screw Sand Washers
Screw sand washers use spiral blades to agitate and convey sand:
Raw sand enters the washing tank and is stirred by spiral blades to loosen clay and silt.
Sand is gradually lifted to the discharge end by the rotating screw, while dirty water flows out from the overflow weir.
Sand is dewatered during the upward movement and discharged at the top.
