The user uses calcined petroleum coke to grind and make powder, and the finished coke powder is mainly used for processing graphite electrodes. In recent years, the price of coke powder rises, the user spends tens of millions of dollars to build a production line with an annual output of 60,000-100,000 tonnes of high-quality coke powder, which is the first phase of the project, using two sets of 6R4528 high-pressure grinding mills of Jianye Company.

Calcined petroleum coke is lighter in specific gravity and more difficult to grind than limestone, dolomite and gypsum, mainly because it is not easy to form a bedding layer. Therefore, the open-circuit grinding system designed by Jianye Company adopts weak wind power, and the air supply and induced air are coordinated to ensure that the standard coke powder can be sent to the powder collector through the analyser in a timely manner after grinding while ensuring the effective formation of the material layer, so it is more suitable for the research of petroleum coke and activated carbon, a kind of light material.
